How to upload and add music to a video

Adding music or audio is one of the most essential and yet one of the most overlooked aspects of video design. With Typito you can easily upload your favorite music and use it as a background score for your video projects.

In addition to uploading your own music, Typito has a well-curated audio library you can access and choose from multiple audio tracks for your video project.

Let us walk you through how to upload music on Typito:

Step 1:  Go to the My Uploads tab in the left panel.

Step 2: Under the Audio Section on the shelf click on ‘Upload’ to browse through your system files and upload the audio file you want.

Once your Audio file is uploaded click it to add it to your project.

Step 3: Adjust the audio you’ve added from the properties panel. This allows you to adjust the volume levels, replace the audio track, and more.

You can also delete the audio track, by clicking on the Delete icon (indicated by the bin icon).

Note: We have a great collection of audio tracks in our Music Library. You can add music from here without worrying about any copyright issues. Click the Music Library shelf from the left navigation panel to explore our music collection.

If you have any more queries related to this, you can always reach out to us on our Live chat or mail us at hello@typito.com

FAQ

Q) Can I upload multiple audio tracks or music files?

A. Yes, you can upload multiple music files on a single project, but can apply only one audio to the project.

Q) I see some music clips provided by Typito. Are they free to use?

A. Yes. We have a great collection of audio tracks in our Music Library. You can add music from our music library without worrying about any copyright issues.

Q) Can I record a voice-over to add it as audio to the project?

A. You can add pre-recorded voice-over to your video in the same way you upload audio tracks. However, if you’re looking to directly record a voice-over to your project using Typtio, we don’t support this function yet.

Q) How can I mute certain parts of the video?

A. We currently don’t support the option to mute an audio track with a single click. However, you can moderate the volume of the audio track and reduce the volume to the lowest.

To adjust the volume level for certain parts of the video, first, cut/split the main video into multiple clips. You can now adjust the background and music volume for each clip individually.
