Progress bars are perfect for giving your audience a preview of how long your video or fitness routine will be. Adding a dynamic progress bar to your video increases engagement on social media sites like Instagram and Twitter.

How to add a progress bar to your video with a click.


Step 1: Upload a video directly to Typito from your computer or Google Drive. 


Step 2: When you're ready, go to the Elements shelf on the left panel. Click ‘View all’ to see all the progress bars we have to offer.




Step 3: Style your progress bar

Click to add the progress bar to your project. Once you've added a progress bar, you can then change up the color, opacity, and position of your progress bar and even add unique styles - such as count up & count down. Use the handlebars or the action bar to adjust the duration of the progress bar. 




Step 4: Export and share

Once you're satisfied with your creation, hit Export, and your final video containing a progress bar will be generated.

Let’s show you how to add a progress bar with Typito's Fitness Video Editor


Step 1: Click Upload and select the file you want to use. 


Step 2: Add all the design elements to your fitness video. After you have chosen the style for your text, timers & social media - you can move on and choose your progress bar. 


Step 3: Adding a progress bar. Click the ‘More’ tab and choose the progress bar you want to add to your video. There are two types of progress bars - horizontal and vertical. After you’ve selected the progress bar, click Save in the top right corner.

Step 3: Create video sequences 

Video Sequences mark different parts of your fitness routine video like the intro, the exercise routines, rest periods, the ending or outro, and any additional parts you might want to include in your video. Progress bars are a part of the step sequence. 

  • Let’s create the step sequence for your fitness routine

  • Click Add Sequence and select Step 

  • Using the handles, select the duration of the clip you want to save as your Step

  • Use the slider to zoom into your clip so you for accuracy. You can also play your clip and enter the selected sequence's exact start and end duration. 

  • Click Add to project

 

Step 4: Once the sequence is added to the timeline, you can now customize the progress bar to fit you and your brand. 

  • You can change the color, opacity, and position of your timer to reflect brand colors. 

  • You can also create count up & count progress bars with the help of the arrows on the action bar.



The next time you add another step to your project -Typito will copy all the changes made to the progress bar & other elements in the previous step and apply them. This ensures that you are able to save time - by no longer needing to change the color, position, font & other customizations for each step sequence.

 

Step 5: Preview your video to make sure it looks perfect. Once you’re all set, click the export button, and your video is ready to share!
