How to insert a solid-colored blank background as a placeholder clip to your project.
One way to use text on video is to use it with a solid colored background. You can do this to create an intro or outro title for your video, introduce a new topic, or even end the video with credits. The placeholder can be handy for creating photo slideshows or presentations.
Here’s how you can add a placeholder clip to your video in just a few easy steps.
Step 1: Click on the '+' button at the end of the timeline (bottom left)
If you cannot see the plus button - zoom out using the magnifying icons until you see the '+' button
Step 2: Click the '+' button to open up the 'Add Media' modal - click ‘Insert Placeholder’
Step 3: Customize the placeholder by choosing a color and duration. Select ‘Apply’ to add this to your timeline.
You can further customize the placeholder by heading to the property panel. Drag the handles of the placeholder to adjust the duration.
