There are two ways two add images or videos between existing clips on the timeline:

  1. Insert a clip directly from the timeline

  2. Insert a clip from the left panel


How to insert a clip directly from the timeline

Step 1: Hover over a clip on the timeline, and click on the ‘+’ icon.

Note - click the ‘+’ icon that is generated between the clips where you want to insert another clip.

Step 2: Click on ‘Insert My Media’

Step 3: Hover over the clip that you want to insert and click on ‘Insert’. Your clip will be inserted between two other clips.

How to insert a clip from the left panel

Step 1: Select a clip on the timeline by clicking on it.

Step 2: From the left panel, hover over a footage thumbnail and click the drop-down button. Choose where you’d like to add this clip -

  • Add to last: adds this clip to the end of your timeline

  • Insert before: inserts before the selected clip
