One of the ways of using text on video is to use it with a solid colored background. You can do this to create an intro or outro title for your video, introduce a new topic, or even end the video with credits.

Here’s how you can add a placeholder clip to your video in just a few easy steps.

Step 1: Hover over the timeline and click on the ‘+’ icon.

Step 2: Click on ‘Insert Placeholder’

Step 3: You can choose the color of your placeholder clip and adjust the duration as well.

Step 4: Select ‘Apply’ to add this to your timeline.

And your placeholder clip will be added to your timeline.

You can now go ahead and add text overlays or any other image or shape overlay to create your video.
